Belarusian Foreign Minister visiting Italy

MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergei Martynov is in Italy on a working visit that will last till 27 July, Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, told BelTA.

While in Italy Sergei Martynov is expected to meet with representatives of the parliament and government agencies of Italy. Sergei Martynov will also meet with representatives of Italian companies, which are interested in implementing projects in Belarus.

According to the source, Italy is one of the top ten trade partners of Belarus. Belarus-Italy trade is close to $1.5 billion. Italy is second to Russia only in the volume of foreign direct investments.
