Yermoshina, Lebedev to discuss CIS observation mission in Minsk on 25 July
MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) – Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus Lidia Yermoshina will meet with Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev in connection with accreditation of the CIS observation mission that will monitor Belarus’ parliamentary election. The meeting will be held at the CEC headquarters in Minsk on 24 July, BelTA learnt from the CEC.
The press service of the CIS Executive Committee informed that the parties will discuss the work of the CIS observation mission in Belarus.
As previously reported, the CIS observation mission for the parliamentary elections in Belarus will be deployed in Minsk in mid-August. The formation of the CIS mission has already begun. The mission will include 30 long-term and 300 short-term observers. The CIS mission will have offices in all regions of Belarus.
