Myasnikovich: Union State experience is useful for Eurasian Union

MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – The experience accumulated by the Union State of Belarus and Russia will be useful for the development of the Eurasian Economic Union, said Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich at the session of the Union State Council of Ministers on 18 July.

The Belarusian head of government said he was confident that the integration associations will complement each other.

According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, the Union State has some things that the Eurasian Economic Union lacks for now. Those are a common budget, breakthrough joint programs, innovation projects, and a high level of humanitarian and military technical cooperation. “I think these are a good warranty of success and the programs we will be discussing are a real mechanism to invest in the future,” he stressed. “Certainly, we’d love to have more breakthrough investment and innovation projects”.
