Export share in Belarus industrial output on the rise
MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – In January-May 2012 the share of export in the total industrial output of Belarus reached 65%. The figure corresponds to this year’s forecast, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
In January-May 2011 export accounted for 54% of the industrial output. The figure stood at 63.3% in January-April 2012. The indicator was introduced in Belarus in 2012. Ministries and concerns are assigned performance targets so that export would be 65% of the total output in Belarus.
According to the source, in January-May 2012 Belneftekhim’s export amounted to 111.6% of the industrial output taking into account oil export and petrochemical exports of the organizations outside the concern. Meanwhile, this year’s forecast stands at 95%.
In January-May 2012 enterprises run by the Industry Ministry exported 62.2% of their output, with the target set at 69%. Figures for Belgospishcheprom stood at 37.1% and 35% respectively, the Agriculture and Food Ministry – 41.1% and 45%. Virtually all the ministries and concerns raised the ratio of export to the output in comparison with January-May 2011.
