Belarus’ GDP up 2.9% in H1 2012

MINSK, 12 July (BelTA) - Belarus’ GDP totaled Br227.9 trillion in January-June 2012, up 2.9% as against the same period in 2011, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee.

The January-June industrial output went up 8.5% and reached Br319.6 trillion. Innovative products accounted for 17.4% of all products shipped (the expected end-of-year target is 13.5%-14.5%).

The overall increase in agricultural output by all economic operators made up 105.1% in January-June 2012. The total output reached Br34.1 trillion. The agricultural organizations increased their output by 6.7% to Br31 trillion.

In January-June 2012Capital investments amounted to Br61.3 trillion, or 80.9% as against the same period last year. Altogether 2,469,100 square meters of accommodation was put into service, which is 6% less as against the same period last year.
