Inflation in Belarus at 1.8% in June

MINSK, 10 July (BelTA) – Inflation in Belarus was running 1.8% in June, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee.

Thus, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) made up 0.1% in June 2012 as against the previous month and 10.5% as from December 2011.

In June the price index for industrial output totaled 2.1% from May, for investment goods 0.6%, for intermediate goods 2.2%, and for consumer goods 2.4%. Prices for farm produce went up by 0.3% in June as against May 2012, and by 22.4% as against December 2011.

Prices for foods went up by 1.8% in June as against May and 11.7% from December. Non-food goods went up in price by 0.8% in June as against May, and by 6.9% as against December 2011.

Prices for paid services edged up by 3.8% in June as compared to May, and 14.5% as against December 2011.
