Belarus to supply building materials to Venezuela
MINSK, 6 July (BelTA) - Belarus will supply building materials to Venezuela, Minister of Architecture and Construction of Belarus Anatoly Nichkasov told reporters on 5 July.
We have compiled a schedule of deliveries of Belarusian construction materials that are in shortage in Venezuela. “Because of this shortage construction schedules are interrupted and production works are delayed. We have decided that it would be better if we started deliveries of a number of items such as windows, doors, various metal products, decoration materials from Belarus to Venezuela. In view of the fact that we have undertaken to build 10,000 apartments in that country, deliveries of construction materials are extremely important. We believe such exports will be beneficial,” Anatoly Nichkasov said.
The minister also recalled that Belarusian specialists have built a facility to manufacture ceramic products in Venezuela. The facility is designed to produce 20 million pieces of brick per year. “This is a very good capacity even according to European standards. Venezuela is interested in expansion of the business. We agreed that a second production line will manufacture products using local raw materials. All the materials that we will produce together will be used in current construction projects,” the minister added.
