EEC Council to sit in St Petersburg 20 June

MOSCOW, 19 June (BelTA) – The 6th meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC Council) will take place in Saint Petersburg on 20 June, BelTA learnt from the Embassy of Belarus in Russia.

The sides will talk over amendments to the unified foreign economic activity commodity classification and the unified customs tariffs of the Customs Union.

The participants of the meeting will hear reports of the EEC Board members on the introduction of the ERA-GLONASS system in the Customs Union, organization of negotiations to harmonize rates of excise duties on alcohol and tobacco products, discuss EEC organizational issues.

Partaking in the event will be a Belarusian delegation led by Vice Premier, Chairman of the EEC Council Sergei Rumas.
