Lukashenko congratulates Putin on Russia Day

MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and his people on Russia Day, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

According to the Belarusian head of state, this day symbolizes unity and common responsibility of the Russian people for the present and the future of their Motherland.

“Belarusians and Russians are tied with a centuries-long friendship and good-neighborly relations which have become today a solid foundation for multipronged strategic partnership,” the message of congratulations says.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that a trust-based political dialogue, efficient trade and economic cooperation, deep humanitarian ties would further promote strengthening of bilateral relations and full implementation of the intestate integration potential for the benefit of the two nations.
