BelAZ 360-tonne truck to go on show in Las Vegas

MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – BelAZ is getting its dump-truck with the carrying capacity of 360 tonnes ready for an international trade show in Las Vegas, the USA, the company told BelTA.

BelAZ-75603 truck is fitted with the Cummins engine and Siemens drivegear. The length of the vehicle is 15 meters, the width is over nine meters, and the height is seven meters. The fuel tank is designed for more than 4,000 liters. The wheel diameter is four meters. The truck’s speed is 64kmh. The vehicle is equipped with the video surveillance system, radars and thermal imagery devices. There are preliminary agreements to sell the truck after the exhibition.

MINExpo INTERNATIONAL in Las Vegas will take place on 24-26 September 2012. The trade show held once in four years caters for mining professionals. MINExpo provides the latest information on the mining sector, new technologies and innovations, labor productivity safety, environmental protection.

The Belarusian Autoworks rolled out its 360-tonne dump truck in 2010.

Founded in September 1948, the Zhodino-based mechanical engineering company Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ) was incorporated into a joint-stock company in 2010. The company is part of the system of enterprises of the Belarusian Industry Minister. BelAZ offers rock haulers, frontal wheeled loaders and bulldozers, tow trucks, special vehicles for underground operations, heavy-duty trucks for metallurgy industry, and other specialized vehicles. BelAZ accounts for a third of the global market of rock haulers.
