Lukashenko, Putin praise cooperation level in NPP project

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – In a joint statement in Minsk on 31 May the Presidents of Belarus and Russia took note of a high cooperation level in the implementation of the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction project and confirmed readiness to develop efficient cooperation for the sake of global nuclear security, BelTA has learnt.

The talks focused on modernization of the real sector of the economy including a necessity to shift from energy intensive industrial to eco-friendly technologies, enhancement of competitive production, strengthening of the potential in the use of renewable energy resources.
