Belarus PM urges to expedite joint projects with Vietnam, Myanmar

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich tasked the government to speed up the implementation of joint projects with Vietnam and Myanmar, BelTA learnt from the press service of the government.

On 18 June the Prime Minister heard out reports of the heads of the government bodies on the fulfillment of the agreements reached during a visit of the governmental delegation to the Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in late 2011. The Premier was updated on the work in progress in South-East Asia by heads of MAZ, Minsk Motor Plant, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Trade Ministry, the Education Ministry, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences, Belneftekhim and Belgorkhimprom Concerns.

Mikhail Myasnikovich tasked the embassies, government authorities and companies to penetrate deeper into South-East Asia, expedite the implementation of joint projects with Vietnam and Myanmar. Special attention should be paid to the project of setting up a Belarusian trading house in Vietnam. Its opening is scheduled for the near future. “The Trade Ministry has been tasked with working out in detail the assortment of products which is to be displayed here. These goods should be in demand on the market,” the press service noted. Besides, the MAZ Director General has been instructed to explore the possibilities of creating industrial facilities in the region.
