Lukashenko: Belarus was ready to sign the EurAsEC reformation agreement

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Belarus was ready to sign the agreement on the reorganization of the Eurasian Economic Community, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview to the TV company Russia Today on 20 March.

The interview touched upon the issues discussed at the meeting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council in Moscow, the draft agreement on the EurAsEC reorganization and the formation of a new integration union. Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus supported the initiative and was ready to sign the document. However, it was not backed by other participating parties.
