Lukashenko praises women’s role in strengthening young Belarus
MINSK, 7 March (BelTA) – Women’s active position in strengthening a young Belarusian state merits the highest appreciation, Alexander Lukashenko said as he extended congratulations to Belarusian women on the occasion of Women’s Day celebrated in Belarus on 8 March, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
“Your commitment to strengthening young Belarus, promoting healthcare and education, culture and science, sports, business and the financial sector merits the highest praise. Here you display your best qualities – kindness, sensitivity, tenacity of purpose, and responsibility,” the message of congratulations says.
According to the head of state, this first spring holiday awakens heartwarming feelings of respect, gratitude, and love for women. “Since the beginning of time a woman has been worshiped as a keeper of hearth and home. Many women combine career and child rearing. We bow deeply before you,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
