Reformation of Belarusian media to produce quality information product
MINSK, 29 May (BelTA) – The reformation of Belarusian mass media should result in a quality information product, said Head of the Belarus President Administration Vladimir Makei at the plenary session of the 7th Belarusian international media forum Partnership for the Future: New Era Models on 29 May.
According to Vladimir Makei, work is in progress in Belarus to set up enlarged media bodies that will represent nationwide coverage printed media. Instead of individual editorial boards the segment will be occupied by two media holding companies. One will focus on political and society matters, the other one will pay more attention to cultural matters. The division will concentrate the creative potential, optimizing economic activities.
The reformation should result in a quality modern information product for printed mass media and the Internet. Vladimir Makei said it would actualize a direct dialogue with reporter communities of other countries, relevant international institutions, it would attract larger readership. “We will be glad if you help us with advice, if you nudge us towards more precise ways to develop our press,” Vladimir Makei told participants of the media forum.
