Belarus attends meeting of CEI Parliamentary Committee in Kiev

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - A Belarusian delegation is attending the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee of the Central European Initiative (CEI) in Kiev. The main issues are the mobility of citizens and tourism as important components of the expansion of cooperation between the CEI member states, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry.

Belarus’ representative Anatoly Pavlovich spoke about the main areas of tourism development in Belarus, including the measures on the legislative level to support the industry. The Belarusian MP also held working meetings with members of the parliaments of the CEI countries.

The meeting discussed the economic incentives for tourism development, legislative measures relating to the management of cultural and natural resources, support for social tourism, and mechanisms of cooperation between government institutions, the private sector and civil society organizations. Following the discussion, the delegations adopted a final declaration.

Attending the meeting are representatives of 13 states.
