Belarusian Industrial Forum to gather over 200 companies

MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – Over 200 companies will present their products at the Belarusian Industrial Forum. The event will take place in Minsk on 15-18 May, representatives of the company Expoforum, the organizer of the event, told BelTA.

The forum will demonstrate new energy-effective and resource-saving technologies. It will gather representatives of industrial circles, the scientific elite, and business at specialized expos, symposiums, contests, presentations, and conferences. In 2012 as part of the Belarusian Industrial Forum over 200 companies and organizations will present their products. The number includes companies and organizations from Austria, Belgium, the UK, Germany, Iran, Italy, China, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, France, Czechia, Sweden, Japan, and certainly enterprises of all the relevant ministries and government agencies of Belarus.

The Belarusian Industrial Forum is meant to help enterprises and organizations to raise the output of high-tech, competitive products on home and foreign markets, to assimilate new science-intensive technologies, to promote international manufacturing cooperation, and attract investments.

The Belarusian Industrial Forum is held every year under the aegis of the Belarusian government. This year’s event will be 16th. The forum is organized by the private company Expoforum, with OAO Belvnesheconombank as the general partner.

OAO Gazprom will participate in the Belarusian Industrial Forum this year. Sergei Kupriyanov, press secretary of the Chairman of the Board, Deputy Head of the Information Policy Department of OAO Gazprom, said Russia and Belarus had reached a quality new level of cooperation in gas industry. Belarus’ and Russia’s participation in the Customs Union and the creation of the Single Economic Space had facilitated it. Gazprom’s 100% share in Beltransgaz has opened good prospects for effective integration and synchronous development of the gas transportation systems of Belarus and Russia. As part of the Belarusian Industrial Forum Gazprom intends to get familiar with modern energy-effective and resource-saving technologies that will be presented by many companies, including Belarusian ones. Some of them can become new partners for Gazprom, said the source. Attention will be paid to Gazprom’s operation in Belarus, in particular, the new daughter enterprise Beltransgaz, which is an important link in Gazprom’s manufacturing chain.
