Three construction holding companies in Belarus by July

BREST, 11 May (BelTA) – Three construction holding companies should be set up in Belarus in H1 2012, Vice Premier Anatoly Kalinin said at the seminar, Efficient Operation of Construction Organizations in Brest Oblast, on 10 May.

Amid a dwindling volume of housing construction in the country and in a bid to keep the personnel potential in the construction industry, the Construction and Architecture Ministry needs to use every effort to involve national construction organizations in the projects abroad. Consolidation of efforts of all construction companies is needed to address the issue of advancing construction services overseas. Holding companies unite construction and design organizations, trusts and specialized erecting departments. Together they will address the issues of entering foreign markets, the official said.

Anatoly Kalinin believes that construction companies themselves should be more active in developing foreign markets.

The Vice Premier also noted that the government has taken all necessary measures to set up engineering companies to support and control turn-key projects. Such companies will promote development of CIS and non-CIS construction markets.
