Cheaper home construction loans in Belarus by mid-2012
MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – Loans taken out by individuals to build homes are expected to become cheaper by the middle of the year, Nadezhda Yermakova, Chairwoman of the Board of the National Bank of Belarus, told media on 3 May.
“People are most of all worried about loans to build homes. I think the loans will become considerably cheaper by mid-2012, they will become affordable,” she underlined.
Asked when the next reduction of the refinancing rate may take place, the official did not specify a date but said the matter will be discussed in May. In her words, nobody is going to delay the reduction of the refinancing rate.
