Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to IOC President Jacques Rogge
MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) - President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent birthday greetings to President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacques Rogge, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“You make a huge contribution to the development of the international Olympic movement. We appreciate your efforts to promote the Olympic ideals among young people, which gave a strong impetus to the organization of the Youth Olympic Games,” says the message.
According to the head of state, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus is ready to continue fruitful cooperation in every area implemented by the International Olympic Committee.
Alexander Lukashenko wished Jacques Rogge every success in strengthening the image of the International Olympic Committee in the world community.
