Foreign Ministry: Belarus strictly honors its obligations under CWC

MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of the Netherlands Ms Yelena Gritsenko made a speech at 17th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CSP-17) on 26 November, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry press service.

The Belarusian diplomat outlined the position of Belarus on key issues on the agenda of the session, and provided information on responsible implementation by the country of its obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).

The session of the Conference of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CSP-17) is held in the Hague on 26-30 November. The Belarusian delegation also includes the deputy chief of the international security and arms control department of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Mr Alexander Ponomaryov and Counsellor of Belarusian Embassy in the Netherlands Mr Andrei Luchenok.
