Following the 18th Congress of the CPC and the election of the new leader of the Communist Party, the policy of China towards Belarus will remain unchanged, said Mr Qian Naicheng. “We will further promote our bilateral ties on all fronts,” he said.

According to the representative of the CPC Central Committee, China together with Belarus will strive to make sure that the friendship between the two peoples flourish, the interaction in the political, economic and other fields get stronger.

“We always see Belarus as a good friend and reliable partner. In recent years, thanks to our joint efforts, the bilateral ties have been developing rapidly and intensively,” Mr Qian Naicheng said.

The representative of the CPC Central Committee talked about the importance of the Congress. According to him, if the foreign countries were most interested in the change in leadership, the Chinese themselves were eager to learn about the country’s development prospects for the next five years. In particular, the task was set to build a middle-prosperous society by 2020. Earlier China gave its utmost attention to the GDP growth, but in real life this index was increasing but the living standards were lagging behind. The Party Congress set out the task to strengthen both the indexes simultaneously.
