Sports academy might be set up in Belarus

MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – A sports academy might be set up in Belarus, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee on 1 November.

The head of state touched upon the issue of Olympic training and sports development among students. “If we work hard we should be ready to institute a higher education establishment subordinate to the National Olympic Committee,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader is confident that the work on Olympic education development and sports among students should go in close contact with the Education Minister.
