Belarus cooperation prospects in ICT displayed in Berlin

MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – The Berlin House of German Economy hosted an event, Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) in the Republic of Belarus, on 22 October, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The organizers of the event were the German Economy Representation in Belarus, the German Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Federal Ministry of Economy and Technologies and the High-Tech Park Administration.

A Belarusian delegation comprising Deputy Director of the High-Tech Park Administration Alexander Martinkevich and representatives of the park’s residents arrived in Germany.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Germany Andrei Giro made an opening speech. He told the participants of the expo about Belarus’ sci-tech potential, the country’s doing business conditions and investment attractiveness of the national ICT industry.

Special attention was focused on the legal regulation of the outsourcing activity, taxation, certification, the order of concluding agreements and financing of projects.

Attending the event were over 50 representatives of German companies interested in developing cooperation with Belarus.
