Minsk announces tender for best architectural concept of Minsk-City project

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) - The Minsk City Council has announced an international tender for the best architectural concept of the Minsk-City business center project, Mr Denis Yeremenko, Deputy Chairman of the Economy Committee of Minsk City Council, told reporters.

Work is carried out as part of the memorandum signed with the Russian company Inteco. The results of the tender will be announced early next year. The investment project will be also presented at the Minsk Investment Day on 15 November.

The investment agreement between Belarus and COOO Minsk-City to construct a multifunctional complex Minsk-City Business Center was terminated in 2012. Decree No.216 “Concerning certain measures to implement the investment project Minsk-City Business Center” of 21 April 2009 and some clauses of Decree No.477 “Concerning amendments and additions to a number of Belarus President’s decrees on indirect taxes in the Customs Union” of 13 September 2010 became ineffective on 1 September.

The status of implementation of the Minsk City Business Center development project was discussed in a meeting in the President’s Office in February 2012. A decision was taken to look for a new investor. It was noted that the project customer COOO Minsk-City, the founder of which is Itera Group, was implementing the project slowly.

The Minsk-City project stipulates for the construction of a multifunctional complex in the Belarusian capital. It will cover 318 hectares and will house a residential neighborhood, commercial real estate and administrative buildings.
