Belarus to stage ‘roadshow’ for eurobonds in October-November 2012
MINSK, 8 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian Finance Ministry plans to stage a roadshow for eurobonds in October-November 2012, Belarusian Finance Minister Andrei Kharkovets told Belarusian MPs on 8 October.
“From the point of view of maximum usefulness and maximal effect from the roadshow, if we decide to call it that, the event may be optimally held in late October – early November 2012 in order to be able to attract money early next year,” said Andrei Kharkovets. The precise time of floatation will depend on wishes of investors, he added.
The organizers of the eurobonds floatation on the foreign market have not been selected yet but offers have been collected and summarized already, remarked Andrei Kharkovets. There are plans to involve Western banks in the process. The Finance Minister said that proposals had been sent to many banks, including Western ones, with answers received from all of them. “A large number of banks have answered. The quality of the offered terms is up to us. We will analyze them and will choose the most optimal ones for the country,” said Andrei Kharkovets.
