Lithuanian Ambassador in favor of development of all-round cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) - Lithuanian Ambassador to Belarus Linas Linkevicius, who presented his credentials to head of state Alexander Lukashenko, is in favor of the development of mutually beneficial bilateral relations on all fronts.

“We need to move forward in all directions, not only on economic matters. We need to enhance bilateral cooperation in culture and sports. There are many channels to communicate, and we should do it. This is not always easy. There are some objective reasons, but we do no need to create additional subjective reasons,” the Ambassador said when talking to reporters.

Speaking about specific mutual economic interests, Linas Linkevicius, in particular, noted the prospects for expanding the volume of Belarusian goods transported via Klaipeda port. “This is an area where I see the mutual economic interests. It is profitable for us and for you,” added the Ambassador.
