BATE Borisov stun Bayern Munich 3-1

MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – FC BATE Borisov were perfect on Tuesday to hold on their first UEFA Champions League home victory, their second win in two games, stunning Bayern Munich 3-1 at Minsk Dinamo Stadium, BelTA has learnt.

Bayern Munich were on the offensive right from the beginning of the match, but BATE goalkeeper Andrei Gorbunov held strong giving no chances to the guests. BATE’s Aleksandr Pavlov opened the score midway through the first half with Vitali Rodionov doubling the lead on 78 minutes.

Franck Ribery pulled one back late on just for Renan Bressan to blast a third for BATE as the Belarusian team secured their second Group F win.
