Vladimir Makei, Ban Ki-moon discuss Belarus-UN cooperation
MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the United Nations Organization were discussed in a meeting between Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in New York on 2 October, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
Vladimir Makei confirmed invitation of the UN Secretary General to visit Belarus.
The Foreign Minister of Belarus held talks with Secretary General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Ahmet Uzumcu. The sides discussed steps to develop cooperation between Belarus and the UN.
The Belarusian Foreign Minister gave an interview to the United Nations Radio.
