Bellegprom Concern, Roslegprom discuss compensations for producers in WTO

MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) – Bellegprom Concern of Belarus and Russia’s Roslegprom have discussed compensations for light industry producers in connection with WTO requirements, Deputy Chair of Bellegprom Concern Lyudmila Tyaglova told a press conference on 27 September, BelTA has learnt.

“Bellegprom Concern and Roslegprom have held talks on compensation measures to support light industry enterprises, help them adapt to the work in the new environment, and develop risk management solutions,” Lyudmila Tyaglova said. The Russian company is going to approach its government and suggest discussing ways to help domestic producers avoid problems arising during the WTO accession. Belarus will also adopt the necessary measures. Lyudmila Tyaglova did not specify what measures might be taken, but the work is underway. This might be certain tax credits and government subsidies for the production of innovative products.
