Savinykh: Belarus is open to cooperation with any international partners

MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) – Belarus is open to constructive cooperation with any international partners, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Andrei Savinykh told media on 27 September.

Speaking about the commentaries of some countries and organizations regarding the parliamentary elections in Belarus, Andrei Savinykh noted: “There have been plenty of statements made. Commenting all of them makes no sense. They often echo universal political clichйs and replace the dialogue with emasculated political correctness.”

“Belarus stays open to cooperation with any international partners that will be ready to cooperate with us using constructive mutually respecting principles, not pressure and manipulations,” Andrei Savinykh said.

Belarus held parliamentary elections. A competent parliament has been elected, Andrei Savinykh said. “We express our gratitude to hundreds of international observers from the CIS, independent observers from western countries who gave an objective assessment of the electoral process,” he said.

“We regret that the OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission could not divert from politicized approaches in its assessments. It downgrades to some extent its value as an organization that advocates impartiality in the election observation,” Andrei Savinykh said.
