Minsk to host Belarus-Poland economic forum in October

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – The 16th Belarusian-Polish Economic Forum Good Neighborliness will take place in Minsk on 8 October 2012, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The forum is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) in cooperation with the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Warsaw, the trade and investment assistance department of the Embassy of Poland in Belarus under the aegis of the ministries of economy, agriculture and food of the two countries.

The program of the forum comprises seminars to discuss a number of issues including “Achievements, Restrictions and Potential in Cooperation between Belarusian and Polish Energy Businessmen”, “Achievements and Potential in Cooperation between Belarusian and Polish Businessmen in Renewable Energy”, “The Use of the Polish Experience and Technologies in Bio-Energy Production” and “The Potential of the Belarusian-Polish Cooperation in the Banking Sector, Insurance and Reinsurance, and the Potential of the Stock exchange in Warsaw as a Source of Capital for Investment in Belarus and Poland”.

According to the BCCI, seminars help intensify bilateral trade and economic cooperation and develop cooperation ties in the energy and agricultural sectors.
