Belarus, Mongolia to hold ministerial consultations in Ulan Bator

MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – The Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Mongolia are to meet in Ulan Bator on 10-11 September for a round of political consultations. The Belarusian delegation will be led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The agenda of the meetings includes the issues of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian areas. The participants of the consultations will discuss cooperation prospects within the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement as well as the development of the legal framework of the bilateral cooperation.

Sergei Aleinik is set to meet with the heads of the ministries of natural resources and energy, defense, agriculture, food and light industry, education and science, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia and Mongolian businessmen. The sides will discuss a wide range of cooperation issues.

In 2011 the trade between Belarus and Mongolia reached $77.4 million, up six times from 2010. In January-July 2012 the bilateral trade totaled $37 million.
