OSCE PA delegation led by Riccardo Migliori to be in Belarus on 9-12 September
MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) led by its President Riccardo Migliori will visit Belarus on 9-12 September upon the invitation of the National Assembly of Belarus, BelTA learnt from the press service of the House of Representatives.
The delegation is to include Matteo Mecacci, the chief of the OSCE PA observation team in Belarus, Chair of the General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions of the OSCE PA.
“The parties will discuss cooperation between the Belarusian parliament and the OSCE PA which is a unique forum to share opinions on the most relevant issues of European cooperation and security,” the press service said.
The OSCE PA delegation is to meet with speakers of the Belarusian parliament and other government officials. Foreign guests will study the course of the parliamentary campaign and visit district election commissions in Minsk and Korelichi, Grodno Oblast.
