Belarusian border guards study Austrian best practices

MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Belarusian border guards and customs officers get familiar with the practices of their Austrian counterparts, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian embassy in Austria.

A delegation of Belarusian border guards and customs officers is in Austria on 3-7 September. The visit has been organized by the International Center for Migration Policy Development within the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative.

While in Austria, Belarusian border guards and customs officers as well as their colleagues from the Eastern Partnership member countries will study Austrian practices in document authenticity verification. They are also set to visit a printing office, border checkpoints and customs clearance at Vienna International Airport, take part in seminars and trainings.
