Br4 billion to support talented youth in Belarus in 2013

MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – A total of Br4 billion will be allocated in Belarus to sponsor the activity of the Belarus President’s special fund to support talented youth in 2013. The head of state signed the relevant order “Concerning the decision of the council of the Belarus President’s special fund to support talented youth and allocation of funds for its activity in 2013” on 25 April, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

The funds will be used as an incentive for gifted young people as well as for sponsoring events to popularize creativity among young talents, organize their education and on-the-job training abroad.

According to the document, over Br1.53 billion will be allocated to support talented youth.

In line with the decision, young prize-holders of international and national festivals and competitions will receive 11 grand prizes and 54 bonuses as well as 8 scholarships of the fund.

Resources will be also allocated to the council of the fund for the organization of a gala-concert and the national art show of the diploma winners, prize and scholarship holders, the 10th Oginski International Competition of Chamber Ensembles and the 3rd Yelsky String Bow Competition, for the organization of courses and on-the-job training of students and the academic staff of the Belarusian State Music Academy abroad, for the acquisition of costumes for this university and the Belarusian State Choreography Gymnasium, equipment for the Mulyavin National Center of Music Art.

The document is yet another testimony to the state’s constant attention and support of young talented people.
