Customs Union market access conditions discussed in Austria

MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – Belarus is attending the international conference "Export opportunities for Austrian companies in the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia" in Vienna on 22 April, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Embassy in Austria.

The conference at the Austrian Standards Institute focuses on such issues as the market access conditions to the Customs Union, compliance with standards and regulations in foreign trade operations and the establishment of joint ventures.

Representatives of Austrian companies have a unique opportunity to talk with representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission and countries of the Customs Union, to get first-hand information, clarify specific issues of standardization, technical regulations and certification.

According to Austrian experts, the Customs Union with its market of 170 million and common customs imports regulations gives Austrian investors and entrepreneurs big export opportunities, in many areas, for example in construction, engineering, food industry, environment and waste, and also consulting in practically all sectors.
