Belarus business cooperation opportunities presented in Czechia

MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarus presented opportunities of business cooperation in Czechia, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told BelTA.

A seminar to highlight business cooperation opportunities was held in Prague. The event was organized by the International Chamber of Commerce of Czechia, the Industry and Trade Ministry of Czechia, the Czech Foreign Ministry, the law firm Peterka & Partners with assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in Czechia. The seminar gathered representatives of business circles from various parts of Czechia.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Czechia Vasily Markovich presented information about the dynamics of Belarus economy development, the investment climate and opportunities for cooperation in economic and investment spheres, including as part of the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan, the Single Economic Space, and the Eurasian Economic Community.

Participants of the seminar were made familiar with the legal foundation for doing business, including in free economic zones and small towns of Belarus, terms of registration of companies and overseas representations, insurance of export deals and investment projects.

The Ambassador of Belarus to Czechia also met with representatives of Czech companies. The meetings touched upon prospects of implementing investment projects in Belarus in the area of power engineering, agriculture, participation of Czech companies in the modernization of mechanical engineering enterprises of Belarus.
