Brest Oblast to present its investment potential in Turin

BREST, 10 April (BelTA) – The economic and investment potential of Brest Oblast will be presented at a business matchmaking session in Turin, Italy on 11-12 April, BelTA learnt from the Brest Oblast Executive Committee.

A representative delegation of the oblast led by Governor Konstantin Sumar goes to Italy on 10 April to partake in a meeting with Italian businessmen. The delegation will comprise representatives of big companies of the region, including Santa Bremor, Pinskdrev, Brest Distillery Belalko, Bereza cheese dairy and meat packing plant, Malority Cannery.

Apart from exhibition events, the program of the visit will include a plenary meeting, tours of Turin companies and a meeting with the authorities of the city and Piedmont region.

“The presentation will let Italian businessmen to see our region in a new way and assess its potential. I hope that the meeting will give a new impetus to the development of the Italian industrial district near Brest,” Konstantin Sumar told BelTA.

A land plot of the total area of 26 hectares has been allocated in the FEZ Brest for the Italian industrial district with all necessary engineering infrastructure. There is an opportunity to allocate additional 200 hectares.

The presentation is organized by the Brest Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Italy-Belarus Chamber of Commerce in association with the Turin Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the auspices of the Embassy of Belarus in Italy.
