Belavia to submit reincorporation plans by 1 October

MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian air carrier Belavia is expected to submit the project for the enterprise’s reincorporation into a public joint-stock company to the State Property Committee by 1 October 2013, representatives of the Aviation Department of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry told BelTA.

The State Property Committee will then decide on further procedures to convert Belavia into a joint-stock company. Belavia is expected to complete the reincorporation procedure by late 2013.

Apart from the air carrier other civil aviation industry enterprises will be reincorporated to become joint-stock companies. Those are Minsk Aircraft Overhaul Plant, Aircompany Grodno, Data Processing Center of the Transport and Communications Ministry, and the recreational center Zvezdny.

A list of national unitary enterprises has been compiled in Belarus. In the course of their reincorporation into public joint-stock companies state-owned shares will not be subject to sale on preferential terms for money. The measure is stipulated by Belarus president decree No. 75 of 8 February 2013. The list includes a total of 61 enterprises.
