Export of Belarusian trams to Latvia discussed in Daugavpils

MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – Deliveries of Belarusian trams to Daugavpils were discussed during a visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Latvia Alexander Gerasimenko to Daugavpils on 19-20 August, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Alexander Gerasimenko and Consul General of Belarus in Daugavpils Viktor Geisik met with top officials of the Daugavpils City Council to discuss cooperation prospects in trade and economy, as well as cultural, regional and academic ties.

The participants of the meeting discussed practical measures to implement all the agreements reached during the 2nd Belarusian-Latvian forum of twin towns. This large-scale forum that drew a lot of attention in Latvia was held in Daugavpils in May 2013.
