Alexander Khainovsky presents credentials to Slovenia President

MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary and the Republic of Slovenia on concurrent Alexander Khainovsky has presented credentials to President of Slovenia Borut Pahor, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

Alexander Khainovsky and Borut Pahor discussed bilateral relations between Belarus and Slovenia, the Minsk-Brussels dialogue, cooperation in international organizations.

The parties took note of friendly relations between the two states, regular political contacts, especially between the foreign political departments, a high level of trade and economic cooperation that is regularly promoted by the Belarus-Slovenia intergovernmental commission for trade, economic and sci-tech cooperation, close ties in humanitarian and cultural areas.

The Belarusian diplomat also held meetings with the top executives of the departments for bilateral cooperation and economic diplomacy. The talks focused on the bilateral relations as well as relations between Belarus and the EU, prospects for expanding cooperation in the Eastern Partnership.
