Belarus, Cambodia sign memorandum of understanding

MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding, BelTA learnt from the BCCI.

The document was signed during an official visit of the Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The delegation comprised Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov who intends to develop cooperation between the BCCI and the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce. The move will promote cooperation between business circles of the two countries and open new markets for Belarusian exporters.

The BCCI head invited Cambodian businessmen to visit Belarus and organize a display of goods.

The visit included meetings with representatives of the Cambodian business circles engaged in logistics, textile industry, suppliers of fertilizers and rice as well as companies specializing in business micro lending. Mikhail Myatlikov and Deputy Industry Minister of Belarus Gennady Svidersky presented Belarus’ export potential and the country’s investment opportunities which caught the eye of potential partners from Cambodia.
