Belarus-Cuba trade on its peak in 2012

MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – The trade between Belarus and Cuba doubled in 2012 to reach its historical peak of $101.9 million. The bilateral trade and cooperation prospects were discussed on 5 February at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Cuba Vladimir Astapenko and Director of the European Department with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba Pedro Pablo San Jorge Rodriguez, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The parties discussed prospects of closer trade, economic and sci-tech collaboration, including supplies of Belarusian products to Cuba and Cuban pharmaceuticals to Belarus, maintenance service of Belarusians tractors, buses and trucks, upgrade of equipment and creation of joint assembly factories.
