Minsk hosts multilateral consultations on climate change

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – Experts from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine met in Minsk on 21-22 January to discuss climate change issues, BelTA learnt from the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The Foreign Ministry of Belarus held multilateral consultations between the experts of the profile organizations of the four countries to analyze the results of the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the 8th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol which took place in Doha from 26 November to 8 December 2012.

The participants exchanged opinions on the measures adopted at the abovementioned meetings, discussed the prospects of further joint work on the climate issue taking into account the national interests of their countries.
