Belarus’ GDP up 1.4% up in H1

MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – In January-June 2013 Belarus’ GDP totaled Br284.9 trillion, up 1.4% from the same period of last year, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee of Belarus.

In January-May the labor productivity of the gross domestic product reached Br50.371 million, up 2.6% as against the same period a year earlier.

In H1 the industrial output shrank by 4.2% over H1 2012 to Br302.8 trillion. The share of innovative products in the total volume of merchandise shipped in January-June 2013 was 17.7%.

As of 1 July 2013 the backlogs of inventory were close to Br31.2 trillion, or 78.1% of the average monthly output.

In January-June 2013 capital investments rose by 8.8% from the same period 2012 to exceed Br85.275 trillion. news.belta.by/en
