Lukashenko, Patriarch Kirill discuss preparations to mark 1025th anniversary of baptism of Russia

MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) - President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill within the framework of his working visit to the Russian federation, BelTA learned form the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The meeting took place at the Patriarchal and Synodal Spiritual and Administrative Center of the Russian Orthodox Church (Krasnodar Krai). The parties discussed the preparations for the celebrations of the 1025th anniversary of the baptism of Kievan Rus which will be widely celebrated in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. In particular, the preparations for the festivities to be held at the end of July in Minsk were in the focus of attention.
