Scholarships, money allowances for 235 talented students in Belarus

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – On 20 June President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko approved the resolution of the council of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of the talented school and university students to honor 235 students with scholarships and money allowances.

Scholarships for the second semester of the 2012/2013 academic year to the tune of Br750,000 were granted to 191 students of universities and military academies.

Eight winners of the Baltic Science and Engineering Contest (Russia, 2013) received money allowances to the tune of Br2 million. Thirty-six winners of the 2013 Belarusian Student Law Olympiad received money allowances worth from Br400,000 to Br1 million.

According to the presidential press service, the executive order is yet another testimony to the state’s constant attention and support of young talented people.
