Lukashenko, Putin discuss Belarus-Russia relations over the phone

MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin have held a phone conversation on 19 June, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

The two heads of state discussed the current state of the bilateral relations. They pointed to the need to enhance public awareness of the integration-related matters.

Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin deem it necessary to more vigorously promote the idea of union of the three Slavic peoples of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.

The Russian President informed his Belarusian counterpart about his participation in the G8 Summit in Northern Ireland. The Belarusian head of state informed Vladimir Putin about his recent visit to Kyiv and its results.
