Belarus to raise oil export duties on 1 July
MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) - Belarus will raise export duties on oil and oil products on 1 July 2013. The relevant decision is laid down by Council of Ministers resolution No. 541 of 26 June 2013, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.
As of 1 July 2013 the export duty on crude oil will be $369.2 per tonne, up from $359.3. The unified export duty on light and heavy petroleum products (apart from gasoline), which was set at 66% of the oil duty on 1 October 2011, will total $243.6 per tonne, up from $237.1 in June 2013. The same duty has been set for benzene, toluene, and xylene. The export duty on commercial gasoline and straight-run gasoline has been set at $332.2 (0.9 coefficient), up from $323 per tonne in June 2013.
The export duty on liquefied petroleum gases will fall considerably from $72.2 to $45.2 on 1 June.
The new resolution has amended Council of Ministers resolution No. 1932 of 31 December 2010 “Concerning export duties on crude oil and several oil product categories and the abolishment of several resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.” The document was adopted in accordance with decree No. 716 of 31 December 2010 “Concerning rates of export customs duties.”
